Purim is a joyous holiday the Jewish people have celebrated for over 2500 years! At IHDS, Purim is more than costumes and hamantaschen — it’s a celebration of joy, generosity, and community.

Our annual Purim Carnival is one of the highlights of the year. It brings together students, families, teachers, and friends for a day filled with games, prizes, music, laughter, and mitzvot of giving, feasting, and hearing the megillah (Book of Esther) read. Most importantly, it creates lasting memories for our children while reinforcing the values of simcha (joy), achdut (unity), and tzedakah (justice).
